AquaGuard Engineered Coatings™ has evolved through years of international field experience, technical development and performance evaluation.

The current AquaGuard system reflects continuous product-development work aimed at achieving reliable adhesion, flexibility, waterproofing performance and durability under demanding environmental and infrastructure conditions.

Rather than relying solely on laboratory specifications, AquaGuard’s development has been informed by both independent technical evaluation and extensive real-world application experience.

AquaGuard formulations have undergone technical development and evaluation addressing important membrane-performance characteristics, including:

• Durability and membrane integrity
• Application and curing characteristics
• Performance in demanding underground and infrastructure environments

Technical development has included work with independent laboratories and specialists outside Canada, including technical work undertaken in Ukraine.

The resulting formulation is manufactured in Canada through an established manufacturing partner operating within an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality-management environment.

Laboratory testing is only one part of product validation.

AquaGuard has also accumulated substantial field experience through international infrastructure and waterproofing applications.

One of the most significant examples is the underground tunnel system in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, where AquaGuard has been used extensively for waterproofing and protective applications.

According to the project contractor, AquaGuard products have been used on the project since 2008, with more than 1.6 million litres applied across approximately 32 kilometres of underground tunnels.

This long-term field experience provides an important practical complement to laboratory testing and technical evaluation.

Capital United Canada Inc. is committed to continuing the technical development and independent validation of AquaGuard in Canada.

The company is pursuing an expanded program of Canadian laboratory testing, engineering evaluation and technical validation to further document AquaGuard’s performance against standards and requirements applicable to its intended uses.

This work is intended to strengthen technical documentation, support engineering and specification decisions, and facilitate broader adoption of AquaGuard in Canadian and international markets.
